STEP 1:
Remove the 8 bolts from the gearbox housing
Do not separate the gearbox like shown. Keep pressure on the housing and simply rotate while making contact with the other part of the gearbox which is still attached to the winch..
STEP 2:
Rotate the gearbox anti-clockwise. Each bolt hole represents a 45 degree rotation.
STEP 3:
Place the 8 bolts back into the gearbox housing and tighten.
11XP Premium RED Edition
STEP 1:
Remove the 8 bolts from the gearbox housing
STEP 2:
Separate the gearbox from the end bracket/drum just enough to see the 2 locator dowels at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock. Once located, use a set of multi-grips or pliers to remove these 2 dowels.
Be careful not to remove the gearbox from the hex shaft as this can damage the gears inside the gearbox.
STEP 3:
Rotate the gearbox in an anti-clockwork direction only.
Each bolt hole represents a 45 degree rotation.
STEP 4:
Once in the desired position, replace all 8 bolts and tighten to a torque spec of 8-10nm torque.
Use a small amount of thread locker on each bolt to ensure they won’t come lose through vibration.
EXPEDITION Series
11EXP/13EXP
STEP 1:
Remove the 4 bolts that hold the gearbox to the drum end bracket.
STEP 2:
Whilst keeping the contact between the gearbox and drum bracket, rotate the gearbox anti-clockwise in 90 degree increments.
STEP 3:
Once in the desired position, replace all 8 bolts and tighten to a torque spec of 8-10nm torque.
Use a small amount of thread locker on each bolt to ensure they won’t come lose through vibration.
